Sis, You are capable of achieving everything you want to be, do and have - and only you can get in the way of that. The limiting beliefs and negative self talk must go in 2021. If 2020 has taught us anything, it’s that life is too damn short and nothing is promised! So why waste time getting in your own way?
So firstly, what are limiting beliefs?
Liming beliefs are false beliefs/thoughts that you believe about yourself which ultimately place limitations around your abilities, and prevent you from achieving your goals.
When it comes to manifesting, your beliefs play a HUGE factor in whether or not it comes to fruition for you.
If you don’t truly believe that you get to have whatever it is you are trying to manifest, there will be resistance in your thoughts, actions, beliefs and feelings. The law of attraction states that like attracts like, remember, so if you have resistance there, there will only be resistance around it coming to fruition for you.
This tends to be where most people block their manifestations because they have tons of reasons as to why it can’t, won’t or isn’t likely to happen, and these are what we call ‘limiting beliefs’.
Some examples might include:
“Things always go so good, and then something bad happens”
“I’m not good with money”
“I wish, but I don’t think I could do that”
“I could never start my own business”
“My relationships never last”
But listen sis, you weren't born with these limiting beliefs, they were taught to us through our experiences, through society and from the people around us. That means that you can learn and instill new ones! Your job is to reprogram and expand those beliefs so that you can break past them and move forward.
Here are a few tips to help you overcome your limiting beliefs!
1.Identify the belief and ask yourself, is this ultimately true?
Oftentimes, those beliefs you have are literally stories you’re telling yourself. This process helps to break up those stories. So, ask yourself, what if you’re wrong? Where does this belief come from? Did you experience this before? Did someone tell you this is your truth? Where/when did you experience this belief?
2. Identify ways that this belief is not actually true or valid.
Whether or not you have experienced this belief to be true, ask yourself have you pushed past it before? Is there evidence that proves this belief to be a fact? Even if it has occurred to you or someone around you, does that mean that it will always be that way? Can you guarantee that?
3. Create alternative beliefs that actually align with what you want.
You have the power of choice sis, it’s up to you to break your own limits and align with what yo want! You have to make a conscious decision to choose the thought and beliefs that serve you, over the ones that don’t. Like attracts like right? Align yourself with what you actually want to be true. Think about the opposite belief and drill that into your head. Anything that is repeated constantly, becomes a belief, so it’s going to take consistent, daily choices.
In my manifestation course, unblocking limiting beliefs is an entire phase that we go through because oftentimes, we don’t even realize the limiting beliefs we hold, and it takes digging deep to uncover them. Helping clients through this phase often brings up unexpected emotions for them, because it isn’t easy to work through but the transformation and confidence that occurs afterwards is beautiful to witness. We have so much power girls, and when you break your own limits, magic starts to happen! So many changes start to occur!
