4 of our fav Self-help books | 3 min read

In honor of Mental Health Awareness Month, I wanted to start this months blog with a few of my fav self-help books that inspire inner work, inner peace and creating the life you desire and deserve. I’m a big fan of self help books, they’re really the only type of books I read and they are a big part of my journey in becoming the young woman I’ve become today. I am so excited to start digging into them with you! I’ll drop 4 of my fav’s today, and then touch on more at a later time so make sure to subscribe! So, without further ado - Let’s get right into it!

  1. The Power of Your Subconscious Mind by Joseph Murphy 
    This book is a game changer!! It teaches us all about our subconscious mind and how we can reprogram it to manifest anything we desire. It’s filled with easy and practical techniques we can use to manifest health, wealth, happiness, relationships and more; along with real world case studies that prove their magic. The end of each chapter has a list of takeaways which I love too! So it’s always super easy to refer back to for a refresher. Definitely recommend this one for all things manifestation. 

  2. You Are a Bad Ass by Jen Sincero - How to Stop Doubting Your Greatness and Start Living an Awesome Life
    Love this oneee, it’s a laugh that puts you in your place! This book is is perfect for taking control of your life! It’s filled with tons of stories, lessons and practices you can implement to get out of your head, take control of and create your life. It’s straight to the point and holds nothing back, and it has tons of quotes throughout which I love! 

  3. The Power of Now by Eckhart Tolle - A Spiritual Guide to Enlightenment
    One of my top reads! This one teaches us about the transformative power of living in the present moment and coming to full consciousness. It is honestly a big contributor to how I live on a day to day basis as far my positive attitude, and genuinely just living happier all round. It teaches how to differentiate ourselves from our thoughts, let go of all of the outside noise we face, shift our focus where necessary and live more peaceful and happy lives. 

  4. The Awakened Woman by Dr.Tererai Trent - A Guide for Remembering & Igniting Your Sacred Dreams
    Wow…this was a phenomenal read. It is a truly inspiring read that shows us the journey of Tererai as a young girl from Zimbabwe who yearns for education and later earns multiple degrees including her PHD, she is highly respected for women empowerment, opens schools and is Oprah’s “favorite guest of all time”. WOW right? 
    It was slightly out of my norm because it was more of a biography, but it’s merged with self help as well because she walks us through the lessons and practices she learned and used throughout her journey and she prompts the readers to do the same! 100% worth a read, it is a motivator and an eye-opener to what we as women go through and how much power we truly have.
